Featuring a conical profile and V-shaped notches, the V-Cut Disc is designed to excel in dry or very hard soils. Its design promotes deep soil penetration while ensuring excellent residue mixing. Its slower rotation speed allows for more controlled and efficient penetration, particularly in conventional tillage practices. As a result, it offers a strong balance between aggressiveness and efficiency.

Notch Options

The notches of our discs are made following the bevel shape:
improved cutting capacity and durability.

U Shape
Improve traction and cutting capacity compared to plain discs.
V Shape
Best cutting capacity.
« Gothic » Shape
Halfway between U and V shape. Very good self sharpening capacity.
Small notches
Good for cutting crop residue at high speed.
Hybrid notches
Alternating large notches for traction and small notches for cutting.
Flail notches
Allow to work deeper and reduce traction effort.
Lobe discs
Good performance in wetter soils.

Bevel Options

Technologies and shapes

Hot Rolled: Made on rolling mill
Steel structured is preserved. No metal is taken away. Very good durability and self sharpening.
Turned: Made on a lathe
Allow to make sharper bevels than hot rolling, but with reduced durability.
Machined: Made on CNC machine
Allow to make the sharpest bevels. Those « Razor » blades are used on vertical tillage machines.
No Bevel
Some discs can be made without a bevel when there is no need to cut or penetrate the soil deeper.
One Slope
Can be placed on the inside or the outside depending on how the disc work.
Two Slopes
Can be placed on the inside or the outside depending on how the disc work. Self sharpening effect.
Symmetrical
Mostly used on flat discs when mounted perpendicular to the ground.
